Description
Dog fights can erupt within seconds. Making the wrong decision can escalate the situation and leave both dogs and people seriously injured.
This practical two-hour seminar will cover:
- Recognising the warning signs before a fight begins
- Understanding different types of dog fights and aggressive behaviour
- How to intervene while reducing the risk of being bitten
- Techniques and equipment that may help separate fighting dogs
- Common mistakes that can make a fight more dangerous
- What to do immediately after the dogs have been separated
- Managing groups of dogs and reducing the likelihood of future incidents
The seminar will be delivered by Steve Sellers of Archer K9.
Steve regularly trains dogs displaying serious aggression towards people and other dogs. He also has extensive practical experience managing large groups of high-drive working dogs, sometimes involving packs of up to 18 to 20 dogs.
This is not a staged dog-fighting demonstration. Any practical demonstrations will be carefully controlled and focused entirely on education, prevention and safer handling.
This seminar is suitable for:
- Dog owners
- Dog walkers and pet professionals
- Dog trainers
- Owners of multiple dogs
- Owners of large, powerful or high-drive breeds
- Anyone who wants to be better prepared for a serious dog incident
