About Archer K9
Archer K9 was founded by Steve Sellers with a simple mission: to help owners build better relationships with their dogs through practical training, honest advice and real-world results.
Before working with dogs professionally, Steve spent almost twenty years as a lawyer, advising large multinational companies on complex commercial and international matters. Whilst the legal profession provided a successful career, his passion had always been dogs. Eventually, that passion became impossible to ignore, leading him to leave the legal world behind and dedicate himself fully to canine behaviour, training and development.
Today, Archer K9 provides professional dog training across Hull and East Yorkshire, helping owners overcome everything from puppy problems and general obedience issues through to serious aggression and reactivity cases. Whether you’re looking for help with recall, lead pulling, behavioural issues or advanced training goals, our focus remains the same: creating reliable dogs that perform in the real world, not just in controlled training environments.
Our experience extends beyond pet dog training. We have developed and supplied dogs for HM Government, police forces and prisons, giving us a unique understanding of canine temperament, selection, performance and reliability. That experience allows us to identify potential, assess behaviour accurately and develop training programmes tailored to both the dog and the owner.
At Archer K9, we do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every dog is different, every owner is different and successful training requires understanding both. From one-to-one training and group classes through to residential training, assistance dog development and family protection dogs, our methods are built around achieving practical, lasting results.
