Family Protection Dogs for Sale

Exceptional Dogs. Carefully Selected. Professionally Developed. Exclusively Placed.

At Archer K9, we don’t simply sell protection dogs.

We carefully source, develop and place exceptional family protection dogs into the right homes. Every placement is tailored to the client’s lifestyle, security requirements and experience, ensuring each dog is a genuine asset to the family rather than simply a status symbol.

Our dogs are selected for far more than their ability to bite. They are chosen for their temperament, intelligence, confidence, environmental stability and ability to integrate into family life.

The result is a dog that can happily accompany you to a busy café, walk through a crowded city centre, relax around guests, travel on public transport or spend time with your children, while remaining capable of protecting your family should the situation ever demand it.

Not Every Family Needs the Same Dog

Every client has different requirements.

Some require a calm, reliable companion that offers reassurance through its presence alone. Others require a fully trained executive protection dog capable of responding to a genuine threat.

For this reason, we do not offer a simple “buy now” catalogue.

Instead, we take the time to understand your circumstances before recommending suitable dogs and arranging confidential viewings where appropriate. Every placement is carefully considered to ensure the right dog is matched with the right family.

Dogs Available

We can source and place protection dogs at various stages of development to suit your requirements.

Depending on availability, this includes:

Working Puppies

Carefully selected puppies from proven working bloodlines for clients wishing to raise and develop their own future protection dog with our guidance and support.

Green Dogs

Young adult dogs with exceptional genetics, drives and environmental confidence that are ready to begin professional protection training.

Fully Trained Family Protection Dogs

Professionally trained dogs that have completed their development and are ready for placement into their new home.

Every fully trained dog is capable of living as a safe, social and reliable family companion while possessing genuine protective capability when required.

Levels of Protection

No two clients require the same level of protection, which is why we offer several categories of dog.

Companion Protection Dogs

Confident, socially stable dogs whose size, appearance and presence alone provide a significant deterrent while remaining outstanding family companions.

Family Protection Dogs

Professionally trained dogs capable of integrating into everyday family life while providing genuine protection should the need arise.

Executive Protection Dogs

Elite protection dogs developed for business owners, high-net-worth individuals, public figures and clients requiring the highest standards of personal security.

Bespoke Placements

For clients with specific operational, family or lifestyle requirements, we can source and develop dogs tailored to individual needs.

Temperament Comes First

The ability to bite is only a small part of what makes an exceptional protection dog.

Before entering advanced training, every prospective dog is assessed for:

  • Confidence
  • Nerve strength
  • Environmental stability
  • Sociability
  • Recovery from stress
  • Hunt and prey drive
  • Defence characteristics
  • Grip quality
  • Physical health
  • Trainability

Only a small percentage of dogs possess the complete package required for genuine family protection work.

Social Before Protective

A protection dog should be capable of going almost anywhere its family goes.

Our dogs are regularly exposed to:

  • Busy town and city centres
  • Cafés and restaurants
  • Shopping centres
  • Public transport
  • Children
  • Crowds
  • Other dogs
  • Slippery flooring
  • Stairs
  • Lifts
  • Escalators
  • Loud environments
  • Traffic
  • Busy public spaces

The objective is a confident, socially stable dog that can seamlessly integrate into everyday life before its protection ability is ever required.

Handler Training & Ongoing Support

Every placement includes guidance on handling and maintaining your dog’s training.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Build a strong working relationship
  • Maintain advanced obedience
  • Safely handle your dog in public
  • Continue protection training where appropriate
  • Develop confidence as a handler
  • Maintain your dog’s high standards throughout its life

Our relationship with clients doesn’t end when the dog goes home. We provide ongoing advice and support long after placement.

Exclusively Placed

Because every dog is unique, availability is intentionally limited.

We do not advertise every dog publicly, nor do we operate on a first come, first served basis.

Instead, we carefully assess every enquiry before recommending suitable dogs. We consider your experience, family, lifestyle, security requirements and expectations to ensure every placement is successful for both the client and the dog.

This approach allows us to maintain exceptionally high standards while safeguarding the welfare of every dog we develop.

Availability

Due to the time, care and professional training invested into every dog, we only have a very limited number of protection dogs available for placement at any one time.

Many of our dogs are reserved well before they complete their training, and it is not uncommon for clients to secure a dog months in advance.

At present, all of our fully trained and placement-ready dogs are either sold or reserved.

However, we currently have a number of carefully selected young dogs progressing through our development programme.

If you’re considering a family protection dog, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible to discuss your requirements. We’ll take the time to understand your lifestyle, family and security needs before recommending the most suitable dog, whether that’s a working puppy, a green dog, a course ready prospect or a fully trained protection dog nearing completion.

If we don’t currently have the right dog available, we can often source exceptional candidates through our trusted network of breeders and working dog suppliers across the UK and Europe.

Every enquiry is handled professionally and in complete confidence.

Begin Your Enquiry

If you’re looking for an exceptional family protection dog, we’d be delighted to discuss your requirements in confidence.

Whether you’re searching for a carefully selected puppy, a promising young dog or an elite fully trained family protection dog, Archer K9 provides a discreet, professional placement service tailored to every client.

Because exceptional dogs are rare and availability is limited, we recommend getting in touch early to discuss your future requirements.

Who We Work Best With

The best results come from owners who are willing to put the work in. Our role is to give you the knowledge, skills and support you need, but lasting change comes from consistency at home.
We're looking for owners who are open-minded, committed and prepared to trust the process. If you're looking for a quick fix or someone to magically "fix" your dog without changing anything yourself, we're probably not the right fit.

Dog training is a partnership. We'll give you honest advice, proven methods and ongoing support. In return, we ask that you follow the training plan, stay consistent, and communicate with us throughout the journey.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
