Livestock Chasing & Worrying

Does Your Dog Chase Sheep, Livestock or Wildlife?

A dog doesn’t have to bite or injure livestock to cause serious problems. Simply chasing sheep, cattle or other livestock is classed as livestock worrying and can have devastating consequences.

Every year, thousands of farm animals are injured, miscarry or die as a result of dogs chasing them. In many cases, the owner never believed their dog would do it until it happened.

If your dog ignores recall around livestock, deer, rabbits or other wildlife, it’s not just frustrating. It can become a legal issue, put your dog at risk of being shot by a farmer, and potentially leave you facing substantial compensation claims.

The good news is that reliable recall around livestock can be achieved with the correct training.

Our 6-Week Livestock Worrying Recall Course

£900

Our specialist six-week programme has been developed specifically for dogs with a history of chasing livestock or wildlife.

Unlike general obedience training, this course focuses entirely on building dependable recall around the distractions that matter most.

The course includes:

  • 6 x 60-minute one-to-one training sessions over six weeks
  • Progressive e-collar conditioning using modern, balanced training methods
  • Handler led course – meaning daily exercises between sessions
  • Unlimited WhatsApp support throughout the course
  • Structured homework between sessions
  • Real-world proofing around livestock and other distractions

This programme is designed to stop chasing behaviour without shutting your dog down. Instead, your dog learns to make better decisions whilst remaining confident, engaged and able to enjoy off-lead freedom safely.

One Week Intensive Livestock Worrying Course

£2,500

Need results faster?

Our intensive one-week programme is designed for owners who want to make significant progress in a short space of time or are travelling from further afield.

Over five consecutive days, we’ll work intensively with both you and your dog to build reliable recall around livestock and other high-value distractions.

The intensive course includes:

  • Five consecutive days of one-to-one training
  • Progressive e-collar conditioning
  • Trainer led
  • Daily practical sessions
  • Handler coaching throughout the week
  • Unlimited WhatsApp support during the programme
  • A personalised training plan to continue at home

This option allows us to immerse both dog and handler in the training process, often achieving progress that would otherwise take months of weekly sessions.

Is an E-Collar Cruel?

Modern remote training collars are one of the most misunderstood tools in dog training.

When introduced correctly, a quality e-collar is simply another way of communicating with your dog. Our conditioning process is gradual, systematic and designed to avoid fear, pain or shutdown.

The goal is not to punish your dog. The goal is to produce a dog that can safely enjoy freedom whilst remaining responsive, confident and under control around livestock and wildlife.

Is This Course Right for My Dog?

Our livestock worrying programmes are suitable for dogs that chase:

  • Sheep
  • Cattle
  • Horses
  • Deer
  • Rabbits
  • Birds
  • Squirrels
  • Cats
  • Other wildlife

Whether your dog has already chased livestock or you’re worried they may do so in the future, early intervention gives you the best chance of long-term success.

Who We Work Best With

The best results come from owners who are willing to put the work in. Our role is to give you the knowledge, skills and support you need, but lasting change comes from consistency at home.
We're looking for owners who are open-minded, committed and prepared to trust the process. If you're looking for a quick fix or someone to magically "fix" your dog without changing anything yourself, we're probably not the right fit.

Dog training is a partnership. We'll give you honest advice, proven methods and ongoing support. In return, we ask that you follow the training plan, stay consistent, and communicate with us throughout the journey.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
