One-to-One Dog Training

Personalised Dog Training Tailored to You and Your Dog

Every dog is different, which is why one-size-fits-all training rarely delivers lasting results.

Our one-to-one dog training sessions are designed specifically around you, your dog and your goals. Whether you’re struggling with behavioural issues, teaching a new puppy, improving obedience or preparing for more advanced training, every session is tailored to your individual circumstances.

By working together in a focused environment, we can identify problems more quickly, build a clear training plan and help you achieve reliable, real-world results.

Is One-to-One Training Right for You?

One-to-one training is ideal if you’re looking for personalised support with:

  • Lead pulling
  • Poor recall
  • Jumping up
  • Excessive barking
  • General obedience
  • Puppy training
  • Reactivity
  • Aggression
  • Confidence building
  • Engagement and focus
  • Household manners
  • Advanced obedience

Whether your dog is eight weeks or eight years old, it’s never too early or too late to begin training.

Tailored to Your Goals

No two owners have the same goals.

Some simply want a dog that walks nicely on the lead.

Others want reliable recall, calm behaviour around distractions or advanced obedience.

Whatever you’re aiming to achieve, we’ll build a training programme that works for you.

Our advice is practical, realistic and designed for everyday life, helping you develop skills you can continue using long after each session.

Our Assessment Process

Every new client begins with a comprehensive assessment.

This allows us to understand:

  • Your dog’s behaviour.
  • Your current challenges.
  • Your training goals.
  • Your dog’s temperament.
  • Your handling skills.
  • Your daily routine.

We’ll then explain exactly what needs to improve, demonstrate practical exercises and provide a structured training plan to help you achieve your goals.

There are no generic programmes. Every plan is built around the individual dog.

Practical, Real-World Training

Dogs don’t live on training fields, so neither should all of their training.

Depending on your goals, sessions may take place:

  • At your home.
  • At Archer K9 HQ.
  • In parks.
  • On public streets.
  • Around shops, cafés and busy town centres.
  • Anywhere your dog needs to learn.

Our aim is to help your dog perform reliably wherever life takes you.

What You’ll Learn

Every training programme is different, but may include:

  • Marker training
  • Engagement
  • Loose lead walking
  • Reliable recall
  • Sit, down and stay
  • Place training
  • Impulse control
  • Neutrality around dogs and people
  • Confidence building
  • Clear communication
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • Real-world proofing around distractions

Every exercise is fully explained so you understand not only what to do, but why it works.

Why Choose Archer K9?

Our experience extends far beyond basic obedience.

We have worked with hundreds of dogs ranging from family pets to working dogs supplied to HM Government, police forces and prisons.

That experience allows us to assess behaviour objectively, adapt training to the individual dog and produce practical results that owners can rely on in everyday life.

We’re committed to helping you build a better relationship with your dog through clear communication, structured training and honest advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need?

Every dog is different. Some owners achieve their goals within a few sessions, whilst more complex behavioural cases may require a longer training programme. Following your assessment, we’ll recommend the most appropriate route forward.

Where do sessions take place?

Training can take place at your home, at Archer K9 HQ or in public environments depending on your dog’s needs and your training goals.

Can I book one session?

Absolutely. Some owners simply need guidance, whilst others choose ongoing coaching to achieve more advanced training goals.

Will I receive homework?

Yes. Lasting results come from consistency. You’ll leave every session with practical exercises to continue at home before your next lesson.

Who We Work Best With

The best results come from owners who are willing to put the work in. Our role is to give you the knowledge, skills and support you need, but lasting change comes from consistency at home.
We're looking for owners who are open-minded, committed and prepared to trust the process. If you're looking for a quick fix or someone to magically "fix" your dog without changing anything yourself, we're probably not the right fit.

Dog training is a partnership. We'll give you honest advice, proven methods and ongoing support. In return, we ask that you follow the training plan, stay consistent, and communicate with us throughout the journey.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
